Busch's Kennel

About

For 47 years, Busch's Kennel was owned and operated by William and Cecile Busch. The kennel was originally built for their own show dogs and has been enlarged two times.

In 1960, the Buschs began raising and showing Beagles. They expanded their interest in the dog show world by handling dogs for other breeders and owners. They showed dogs all over the country, including the prestigious Westminster Kennel Club dog show, where Bill handled a dalmatian named Ch. Fireman's Freckled Friend to a Non-Sporting Group first place win.

They are now retired from the dog showing world but have fond memories of the times they spent traveling the country with some amazing dogs.

The Buschs were longtime officers in the local Southeast Missouri Kennel Club and are members of the National Beagle Club.

Chris & Stacy Busch-Heisserer and Brayden

In February 2019, Stacy and Chris Heisserer took over full ownership of the kennel.

Chris oversees daily operations and full-time care of the dogs and cats that spend time at the kennel. You will find him at the kennel or transporting dogs between the kennel and Deer Creek Doggie Day Camp, an interactive doggie day care located in Cape.

Most days you will find Stacy at Busch Pet Products, a holistic pet supply store in Cape. She is certified in Pet CPR and First Aid.

They are currently owned by five cats and a dog named Elsa.
